Last night we went there for dinner, the third time I have my meal @ One World Hotel. Our last visit to Kura was quite satisfying, so we decided to dine-in there again.

Chiang Mai, Thailand Trip: Part 3- Maewang Waterfall & Karen Village
After elephant riding, the driver drove us to the nearby White Karen Village. According to the tour guide, they are called white karen because ladies there who haven't married & attached have to wear white costume. Only after married then only they can wear red, blue, purple and other colors attire. Many small children tried to sell own made bracelet to us once we stepped down from the van, one for 5 baht only, but I didn't buy any.
Karen village women make their on scarf, embroidery bags & other types of handicraft to earn a living. Their husbands work in the farm to grow food for local consumption.
Scenery along the karen village. We walked around & I saw some huge pigs, really big and fat. @@
The tour guard then led us the way to Maewang waterfall, we had to walk around an hour to reach there!!! I was sweating prosperously under the hot sun. ~~ Along the journey we met some tourists who were friendly and greeted us warmly. Finally we reached the waterfall, not to say very special but quite cooling.
When I look at this photo, I suddenly recall about the scene of Aaron Kwon in the Stormriders, haha.
Some tourists swam in the waterfall happily, I envy them a lot. How could they stand the coldness of the water? Haha.

Chiang Mai, Thailand Trip: Part 2- Elephant Riding @ San Pa Tong
During our second last day in Chiang Mai, we joined one day treks at San Pa Tong which include elephant riding, bamboo rafting, visit to Karen village and trekking to waterfall. Lunch, drinking water, transport & travelling insurance were provided. The whole package is 800 THB per person but we only paid for 750 THB per person as we got offer from Julie Guest House. The scenery along the way to San Pa Tong. People around me were sleeping, I had nothing special to do but playing with my camera. It was around 1 hour (to be accurate, 59 min as claimed by our tour guide- Mr. OH) drive from Julie's, still tolerable, not that far away.
Getting ready for an hour elephant ride, CHEERS. In the photo are Wai Keng & Sze Min. I had troubles getting onto my elephant as this naughty elephant (picture above) kept aiming its trunk towards me (LOL).
The smart elephant walking up & down small hill. Their movements are slow, but quite bumpy.
On the left is Siew Ting, on the right is Victoria- a Tai Pei, Taiwan girl whom we knew from this day trip. She is very brave & likes to try new stuffs.
The trunk is so powerful
The sun was blaring hot, thank god I remembered to apply sun block, if not I'll turn into Godiva dark chocolate. Scenery along the riding path is very cool.
Elephant searching for food along the way, so naughty but cute. We stopped by to buy bananas and feed the elephant. I was frightened when my elephant & sze min's elephant focusing their trunks towards me (again & again). They collected bananas with their trunks in seconds, then asked from us again, less than 1 min. Miss Angeline beside me (holding the bag of bananas) peeled off the banana skin slowly for the hungry elephants; I was surrounded by 2 elephant trunks and looked very helpless because got nothing to feed them. @@ Angeline, please dun be such a perfectionist! I think sze min ill-treated her elephant because she threw all bananas onto the floor, so it asked food from me many times, hahahahaha.

A photo of Angeline & me captured by the person there. We paid 100 THB for this, together with the photo frame. The frame is made from elephant dung. ==
We also get to see baby elephant (4 months old) in this elephant camp, very very cute especially when it slept on the floor. Althought elephant is huge, it's very tame and cutie. :)

Chiang Mai, Thailand Trip: Part 1 - Julie Guest House
Hello everyone, I just back from a 7-days 6-nights Chiang Mai trip yesterday. The trip was really enjoying and I bought lots of nice & cheap stuffs over there, including clothes, bags, souvenirs etc. Chiang Mai is definitely a shopping paradise especially for ladies!!!
During our stay in Chiang Mai, we settled down at Julie Guest House, a well-known and popular guest house over there. Most of the tourists staying there are caucasian and not asian like us. The service provided at Julie's was good, thumbs up for all the workers there!!! You can get all the travel information required in seconds over the counter. You just have to tell them where you plan to go and what you interested to do, they will arrange local tour for you or give some professional recommendations. These bring convenience to tourists like us who like to travel free & easily.
You can play pool for free, but I dunno how to play :(
Some people just lie down relaxingly on the cushion/bed provided at the cafe and do reading or just have a drink
I shared a room with my sister, it costs us around RM18 per night(which is RM9 per person!). The room equipped with 2 single beds, a table, hooks to hang clothes, attached bathroom with cold shower. (Hot shower RM20 per night). Ceiling fan is available instead of air-con, this's not a prob. for us because I actually woke up in the middle of the night to get the blanket. I could sleep deep and sound in the comfortable room. The room price is very reasonable and helped us save a lot on accomodation.
Because of the cheap price, breakfast is not included but we can order food easily at the Julie's cafe. The food very tasty with a great variety of cuisine. You can opt for thai food or western food, both are good. I tried ham omelette, butter & jam toast, roasties for breakfast which gave me satisfied feeling throughout the days.
Some thai food which I tried at Julie's. Love the glass noodle pad thai and tom yum goong very much!!!

Julie Guest House is highly recommended if you wanna go on a budget trip to Chiang Mai. You will feel at home over there and start to miss the place way before you leave. More information can be obtained from its official site---> http://julieguesthouse.com/

Pharmacist in Pahang
Recently many pharmacists are posted to Pahang, be it provisional registered pharmacist (PRP) or fully registered pharmacist (FRP). I think Pahang must be seriously lacked of pharmacist and that's the reason why many pharmacists being 'imported' from other states. I wonder what's the feeling of those who were trained in KL/Ipoh/Penang/JB but posted to Pahang as FRP. No matter what kind of mixed feelings they have, sooner or later they have to learn to adapt to the new environment too.
Many prps who are trained in HoSHAS choose to stay back and this trend has remained the same for the past few yrs. This yr HoSHAS might get quite a number of new FRP and PRP since we are supposed to start 24hr service soon, by next year. HIS with microsoft Amalga starting soon too, 2010 will be a challenging year! I'll try to prepare my nota serah tugas ASAP and transfer to another unit, maybe being a clinical pharmacist can give me the opportunity to learn more things. Hopefully can meet a handsome doctor, LOL.

Dinner @ The Ship, Damansara Utama
Yesterday was the first day of Hari raya, my mum suggested to have dinner at The Ship because she wanna eat Western Food. We brought along our maid, Fatimah, and this's the first time we brought her out for dinner after more than 2 years of working at my house. She's one of the best maids that we ever have, very hardworking, smart and have been taking care of my grandmother carefully during her last few years. As a token of appreciation, we gave her a dinner treat on her new year.
Browsing through the menu, I couldn't really make up my mind. I dun fancy fried stuff that is full of flour... Finally I decided to have Sizzling Chicken Fillet as my dinner, and really happy that I made the right choice!!! My younger sis ordered Phoenix Neptune Combo, I think it's almost the same as mine, just with the addition of tiger prawns and a baked corn. I quite like the garlic toast at The Ship, the toast was very crispy and full of garlic!

Sizzling Chicken Fillet- RM 21.90, not including 15% tax. The chicken was soft & tender and tasted really good with the sauce. I like sizzling pan because the food will be warmed all the time. However, my mum thought the sauce was a bit salty.
Sitting on the left is our maid Fatimah. She's shy and dunno how to smile at the camera. She had fillet steak as dinner, the only time where she can have beef since my family dun take beef.
My sis and my aunt- my grandma's sister
We spent a total of RM262.90 for 7 persons yesterday night, quite reasonable price for a restaurant like The Ship. However, I think the service provided by some of the waiters wasn't that good, some of them looked lost and blur, maybe because too many customers around that night.

How do I solve my acne problem
I had been suffering from acne breakout & relapse since 2008. The symptoms always reappeared after being resolved, which made me feel rather distressed and annoyed. I was quite confused initially, why did I have acne/pimple at this age and not during my teenage days? I still remember I did not have any acne since 13 year-old until I completed my PRP service at Temerloh. The most I had was 1-2 tiny pimples when I was stressed during exam period.
I started to go for facial treatment in Nov 2008 at Jean Yip, The Curve. Initially, the effect was not very prominent but slowly I could c improvement in my skin condition. My skin is not so oily as before especially after I use the Revolution sebum control. I like this product a lot as it helps to control sebum/oil of my face and thus reduce the formation of pimples. Besides, with the addition of menthol, this product gives me a cooling sensation on my face and helps to keep me awake, lol.
My skin getting better since I started facial treatment, but pimples still reappear occasionally especially before my menstrual period. After being recommended by my beautician, Joyce, I started to take Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) 1000mg per day. All this while I only know that EPO is good in regulating our menses but didn't realise that it can also improve acne and some other skin problems. After GOOGLE for it, I decided to give it a try since EPO is good for female afterall, it'll do no harm to my body, if not better. I bought Bio-Life EPO from Guardian pharmacy as it was having promotion that time and very cheap.
After trying the above product for 4 months plus, my condition improved and I'm very satisfied with the outcome. That day I saw a colleague of mine who has transfered to KL. She was so shocked to see my face condition which improved a lot since she last saw me. I'm so happy now. I was quite depressed early this year when my acne couldn't be controlled although already taking Roaccutane prescribed by a famous skin specialist at Jalan Imbi, KL. I stopped taking Roaccutane after 3 wks of treatment and refuse to see the specialist again. I know he'll only tell me to keep taking oral antibiotics or Roaccutane and apply antibiotic gel. The worst part is I always have to go there super early in the morning, waited for few hours and only get consultation for 10 min (or less), getting medicines which I know where to buy it for myself at much cheaper price. The only topical antibiotic that I like to use now is Clindamycin 1% solution by Pfizer. This can be purchased at any pharmacy store and is very effective, but do not use it for too long period.

Chuan Kee Restaurant @ Mengkarak, Pahang
Last night I went to Mengkarak with some of my frenz to have dinner at Chuan Kee Restaurant. I've heard about this restaurant since last year and always wan to try the food there. My junior, a local girl, told us that we have to gather as many people as possible so we can try all the specialties which come in big portion.
When we reached the restaurant, it's quite empty since we were quite early. My junior had made reservation so our table was ready once we reached. Axian from Astro AEC had been to this restaurant and recommended many types of traditional chinese luxury dishes. http://blog.axian788.com/?p=398

Pig knuckle with sea cucumber
I like it a lot, the pork was so tasty and juicy. The sea cucumber were crispy and tasty as well. But now I feel a bit guilty because of the high amount of calory + cholesterol. @@
Fried田鸡(frog?) Eat it together with the special sauce, very crispy & the meat was well seasoned.
The vege look simple but delicious, maybe because it has 'wok hei', if u know what I mean, lol.

The sharkfin soup was really good, we were so amazed while looking at the handsome amount of sharkfin & dry scallop in the soup! There were 9 of us and each of us could have 2 full bowls of sharkfin soup! Too bad I forgot to snap a photo of it! But you can take a look at this photo I found online. http://anleen.multiply.com/photos/album/58/58##photo=4
We didn't try 佛跳墙 (Fo Tiao Qiang) because we need at least 12-15 people to share the bill and also to finish it! The portion of food there is big and really worth the price. We paid around RM29 per person for the above luxury expensive food which I think is quite cheap. If you pay the same price in KL, maybe u can only get the sharkfin soup & pig knuckle with few slices of sea cucumber.

Dinner Treat @ Sakae Sushi, The Curve
Few days back when Huey Im told me she will be coming back to Malaysia for holiday, I promised to give her a dinner treat. When we met up at The Curve last night, Huey Im suggested to have dinner at Sakae Sushi, a place where I have dined out for more than 10 times I guess. Since the opening of Zanmai Sushi, I seldom go to Sakae Sushi for meal but it's still a good place for Japanese cuisine.
We went in around 6.15pm, purposely chose to go in before buka puasa time. The restaurant already flooded with customers although it was still early. I really wonder how much the owner earn per month, lol. We ordered a lot of sushi until we can't finish some of it, what a waste haha.
Huey Im's favourite- Salmon sashimi. I didn't dare to eat this until 2008, when I tried my first bite and starting to like it until now. But I still prefer raw salmon with sushi rather than salmon alone @@
First time tried this- Lemon Sorbet. Very very fine ice-cream with lemon flavoring. When we almost finised the dessert, I could feel the bitterness of lemon which is what I like. Yummy ^^
