Teluk Cempedak Beach @ Kuantan, Pahang

Now I'm officially transfered back to Selangor, finally, after spending 3+ years in Temerloh, Pahang. This sunday I'm forced to attend a don't know what compulsory course at Sungai Buloh, first time attending something as directed by JKNS. Sometimes I tend to forget that I already shifted back to my house, just quote a simple example. I was charging my mobile phone last sunday, and guess what, after finished using the charger, I actually looked for my luggage bag so I could keep the charger and bring back to Temerloh. Oh mine, this first instinct is so scary.

Throughout my 3+ years service in pahang, I seldom go to Kuantan although it's the ibu negeri of Pahang state. Most of the courses I attended were either held in other states or towards Bentong or KL side, and I haven't even enter HTAA before, hahaha. During prp time I stayed at Jessie's house for 2 weeks for enforcement attachment, that was the only period I got to go around kuantan, thanks to Jessie, Kuan Yeen & Shen-ni.

There's nothing much in Kuantan I guess, or maybe I didn't really explore it. Just remember Teluk Cempedak beach is the so called more famous beach, been there with my gang of prp during forensic exam and orientation. The beach is ok, but of course not as attractive as Langkawi, Redang, Perhentian Island or Phuket, lol. However, sitting at the sea side Mc Donald at night was quite relaxing, I tried once before. Much better than Temerloh, a town with no sea but only brown color river water...

This is the favourite view of many couple's wedding photos, maybe because of the rocks. @@

Buffet Dinner @ Cinnamon, One World Hotel, Bandar Utama

On the first day of Chinese New Year/Valentine's Day, we went to Cinnamon, One World Hotel to have buffet dinner, cost around RM85++ per person. If you pay with Maybank credit card, you'll get 25% off. Since I do not have to pay for it, I'm not sure how much/person after the discount, haha.

This's the second time I had buffet at Cinnamon, the first time was with SF using the FREE buffet lunch voucher. There's a great great variety of cuisine, from chinese style to japanese, western, malay, indian etc... Just too much that I do not have such a huge capacity to try all.

CNY decoration. This round we get to eat Yee Sang too, of course not as tasty as ordinary chinese restaurant, but you still can give it a try.
We joined up a few of these tables since there're 16 of us. :)

I was too busy eating initially, didn't snap much photos. This's the Dim Sum corner, I quite like the Siew Mai & Char Siew Pao. They served Lou Fo Tong too but I didn't try that.

The Japanese Food Corner, I ate few mussels. There're also oysters, salmon & tuna sashimi. I know these are expensive but I never really like them, I prefer cooked than raw food. Tried some sushi anyway. The tempura was not bad, the prawns were fresh & crispy.

The Western food was still better than the other cuisine. Caeser salad is one of my family's favourite, but not mine. I love the pizzas especially turkey ham pizza, had 3 slices! Wild mushroom soup was good too, my aunt said you'll regret if you don't try some, lol. Despite all the main course, I still like western dessert the most! They're just too tempting that I had to force myself to forget those extra calories!!! Shouldn't tell my dietician frenz abt this, hahaha.

Chocolate Fondue!!!

Mini fruit tart- My favourite!

Yummy cakes for Valentine's Day. This's really good, soft and chocolaty but not too sweet. My mum regretted cos she didn't eat more of this cake, wahaha.

So 'Rich'

I dunno why there're mini moon cakes, this dish not belong to us but the waitress served wrongly, so we have free dessert. ^^

Yummy Durian Pancake @ Uncle Biscuit, Damai Plaza, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

With special request from us, Uncle David brought us to this Bakery Shop- Uncle Biscuit that sells the yummy & well known Durian Pancake. It's stored in the fridge and served cold. I love it, the cake is very soft & not too sweet! However, I think it taste more like sponge cake than pancake. I actually thought of buying some back to KL but it only can last for an hour without refrigeration, too bad...

The entrance

You can find durian swiss roll too, but we didn't try. I can easily get this from Tong Kee Bakery.

Many flavors... If I had sufficient space to store more food, I would give peach swiss roll a try.

Selling all kinds of jam and kaya

Buns & bread

Air Asia Tune Hotel @ 1Borneo, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

We stayed at Tune Hotel, 1Borneo during our trip in KK, Sabah. The price was very affordable, only RM178 (includes air-cond) per room for 3 nights, which means that one person payed less than RM30 a night. Heard that sometimes the price is even cheaper than this, depends on the period you stay.

Air-cond is only available upon purchase. We bought 24-hour air-cond which is sufficient for the 3 nights stay. When we slot in the key card, the air-cond would be activated automatically, and the air-cond time started to be deducted. It functions like a prepaid card, very convenient.

You have to pay for watching TV, same as air-cond on a prepaid basis. Of course we didn't choose this, no time to watch tv programmes. :)

The room is a bit small but neat & tidy. It's full with advertisement. Toiletries not provided but can be purchased at the lobby counter. However, toilet rolls are provided FOC and there's room service everyday. Nowonder Tune hotel claims that it provides “a 5-star sleeping experience at a 1-star price.

Tune Hotel is located at 1Borneo Hypermall, it's the best shopping mall in KK, so it's very convenient if you wanna find a spot to 'yum cha'. The only disadvantage is it's not located at KK town, need around 20min drive. Despite this tiny little disadvantage, you can consider this service hotel if you're finding for accommodation in KK.
