Tip of Borneo, Kudat, Sabah

During my recent trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, we went to Tip of Borneo which located at Kudat. I first time heard about this place from my friends Masyitah and Ee Boon in 2009. When I watched TVB series Born Rich (富贵门) few months back, I saw this place again towards the ending part, so I decided to pay a visit.

It took us around 2-3 hours drive from 1Borneo, actually the long journey made me feel very tired. It reminds me of the journey from ChiangMai to Golden Triangle, lol.

When we reached there, the sun was blaring hot, luckily I brought along my SPF130 sun block, haha. The scenery really nice and unique, I could see the crystal clear water with different colour tones under the hot sun.

Take a look at the water, a blend of dark blue and sky blue. Interesting?

We are not suppose to cross over to the tip, but...

This is the Tip of Borneo, also known as 天涯海角 in mandarin. There's another one at Hainan Island but I haven't been there yet.

This's the beach, but not many tourists around. I didn't see any hotel or resort around, just saw the Bay View Chalet.

Oil painting? The scenery is just too breathtaking.

A small island that can be viewed from Tip of Borneo. Heard that we actually can reach HK if we go all the way straight from here. How true is it? Answer is not available, haha.

Orang Utan @ Kinabalu Park, Sabah

I like monkeys and orang utan a lot, they are so adorable and human-like. Last week when I was at Kota Kinabalu (KK), Sabah, we went to kinabalu park on the first day, basically was to kill our time. @@

There's a great variety of wild animals, which include tiger, bear, elephant, monkey, bird etc. We saw this cute, well-trained and smart orang utan in the animal show, I forgot his name, just remember he's a 6 month-old baby orang utan. Baby?? He's around a the height of a 12 yr-old boy I guess.
Doing some paintings... Actually he was just splasing paint to the drawing board.

This is interesting. He had to move the small candy using a long stick, from one edge to the other so he could eat it. This clever creature easily move the candy in few seconds, then pop the candy into his huge mouth.

See how he manipulate the long stick.

He cheated this round. Bent down, put his hand into the box and pulled out the candy which was stuck at the inner side of the plastic box.

One of the trainers. He enjoys it when the trainer hug and pad him, just like a small baby. They are good brothers, or son & dad. :)

Congratulations to Huey Im & her hubby!!!

On the 1st of January 2010, me, ya lin, wei lin , thean yee & vivien headed to singapore by First Coach Bus to attend Huey Im's wedding. We were given this big surprise early December through sms, thanks to Huey Im whom hobby is to create surprises. == Haha.
It was a simple but touching & lovely wedding. We only get to know her husband, Darren, from this wedding, he is a shy guy from what we seen. The 'brothers' were helpful and friendly too, fetched us few times, from the groom's house back to Hilton hotel & Amara Hotel, from Pasir Ris to the resort which the wedding dinner was held. The whole event turned out to be a success, feel so happy for Huey Im. :) We know each others for many many years, we attended the same kindergarten, primary school and secondary school, and we started to become good fren since standard three. I still remember our friendship started when I asked her 'May I borrow your Doraemon comic book?', and we were only 8 years old that time, well, almost for 20 years!!! I'm happy for her because she finally found the right man, hope he treat her good and treasure her. Huey Im is a very nice, helpful and funny girl, I believe she can be a good wife and... good mummy, hehe.
Why the bride not looking at the camera? Too tired i guess, haha

Me & huey mei, huey im's eldest sister
