Tong Pak Fu @ Sunway Giza Mall

Last weekend I went to Tong Pak Fu, Sunway Giza Mall to have dessert with frenz. The desserts there are costly with small serving. However, the taste is quite good and worth to give it a try.
Tracka Durian Snowflake is it's signature dessert and highly recommended. RM11.80. The durian taste is strong, those durian lovers will surely fancy this. The taro balls are tasteless and too hard to be swallowed, it shouldn't be added to this dessert, a minus point.
Black Sesame Snowflake, the taste not bad as well, and not too sweet. RM7.80.
Steamed Rice Cup Cake. Quite tasty but the topping is salty to my liking. RM3.80
The service is quite prompt and fast, maybe due to the crowd of people.

All prices subjected to 5% service charge & 6% government tax.

Groupon Redemption @ Carpenter's Daughter, Subang USJ

Few weeks ago, my sisters and I went to Carpenter's Daughter bakery shop/ restaurant to have lunch. My younger sis has bought the voucher for 2 person from Groupon few months back, but as usual, we waited until near expiry date only redeemed it, lol.

I reached the restaurant earlier than my sis. Due to unbearable hunger, I've ordered spicy aglio olio spaghetti and a glass of fresh passion fruit juice for myself. The spaghetti is very tasty with generous amount of mushrooms, and I enjoy drinking the fresh passion fruit juice too. Before they reached, I already finished more than half of the food, hehe.

The inner design is good, simple but comfortable. The whole shop is surrounded by  the smell of freshly toasted bread, yum yum.. ^^

This is the set of meal for 2, all kinds of breads for 2 person. Coffee and lemon tea not included.

The taste of food is great with good service, thumbs uppppp for them!!!

Make-Up Workshop & Light Refreshments- A fruitful & relaxing weekend

I've been extremely busy wt works nowadays, thus do not have sufficient time to update my blog as often as before. However, I notice there're still quite a number of people continuously visiting my blog, really wanna thanks you guys and gals!! ^^

Yesterday, me and my sis attended a FREE make-up workshop organized by Aurora Boutique for it's loyal customers. ^^ The event took place at kota damansara branch of aurora boutique, and there are approximately 30 participants. Berry & Anthony has shared many make-up tips with us, I find it very informative and fruitful. :)

Volunteer & Anthony

The make-up tools ^^

Light refreshments by Bev's Bites & Belle Notes. The cupcakes, pastries, scones etc are extremely yummy and not too sweet, really didn't expect to get this kind of food as refreshments in a FREE workshop, unbelievable. Luckily not those ordinary nyonya kuih and curry puff we usually eat during government meeting, or sandwiches served in hotel during cme.

pineapple tarts , very delicious!!

I love this cake the most, so so tempting and yummy. The mango slices in the cake is fresh mango. :P

Thanks a lot to Aurora Boutique, Meng, Apple, etc :)

Lunch @ Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant, One Utama

Yesterday I went to One Utama shopping mall with my sis to do last minute pre-CNY shopping. We managed to catch a movie before our lunch, and it was around 3pm only we started to feel the hunger.

We walked pass a restaurant which replaces Italiannies Pasta Pizza restaurant, there were not many people around and I guessed was due to the odd hour. My sis suddenly remembered her friend actually recommended this fusion style Japanese restaurant, thus we decided to give it a try.

The menu

Chicken Katsu Don. We added the egg ourselves when the sauce & gravy start to boil. We were so 'chicken hand duck leg' (Cantonese), the waiter then lend us a helping hand, lol.

The steaming hot chicken katsu, but I'll rate it with higher mark if the chicken skin not so thick & fat. RM17.90

Okonomi Satsuma RM14.90- This is really tasty and delicious! Different from the ordinary Okonomiyaki where the base is made from flour , this is made from fish cake. The waiter actually recommended this to us because we don't eat beef, the main ingredient in their signature Okonomiyaki. I love this okonomi satsuma a lot, suddenly wanna learn to cook this myself, lol

Anago maki RM16.90- Tempura eel sushi, not very special but taste good

Irodori Unagi RM7.90- delicious! but too small portion ><

We finished our meal with matcha parfait RM11.90, so satisfying!

Wanna learn more about Watami? This is it's official website. It actually has set menu for 2 & 4, where you can enjoy japanese style salad or pizza, sushi, hotpot, dessert etc... I'll definitely go back to try it next time.

Outing @ Laundry Bar, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara

On Friday night, I had a gathering with my ex-colleague in One Utama, then we headed to Laundry Bar, The Curve to have a drink. I am very stressed lately, so some occasional alcohol drink helps to ease my tension.

We ordered the house red wine, the taste is ok only, not comparable to those red wines brought back by my uncle.
My friends, 2 cute and pretty ladies.

As the big eater Jess kept grumbling she's still very hungry despite taken dinner at Sushi Zanmai, we decided to order snacks, lol. The cheesy potato wedges look tempting, but trust me, it's extremely ordinary and I prefer KFC wedges than this.

Fried onion rings, this is quite good, but oily as expected. The sauce is tasty too.

Treasure Box & Smoked Salmon Aglio Olio @ Paddington House of Pancakes, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara

Tomorrow is the first day of work in 2012, before we start work & school, me and my sisters went to The Curve this afternoon to do shopping. We planned to enjoy a set of afternoon tea set at Winter Warmers, and drink my favourite rose milk tea. I was then really really sad to find out that this restaurant already closed down and to be replaced with an unknown new shop later! I really hope that the restaurant is being relocated and not close down. :(

Anyway, we went to Paddington House of Pancakes instead to have late lunch. The restaurant was full, but we manage to find a good spot near a corner.

Some deco on the wall.

I ordered this- Smoked Salmon Aglio Olio. RM16.50. I love it a lot, wanna try to make this next weekend. Since next time I'll be very free during weekends, I want to learn how to cook delicious food, hehe.

Bright Eyes- Fresh fruit juice, blend of orange, strawberries and carrot. RM9.50. Expensive and not that nice, next time I'll order plain water only.

ImmuneZoom- My sis ordered this, not sure what's inside, but the taste also very ordinary. RM9.50.

This is our favourite- Treasure Box. You can find ice-cream, chopped bananas, strawberries, raisins, peaches and mini pancakes in it. Topped with some crunched ground nuts and maple syrup (you add your own syrup, we poured very little only) . Very delicious and tasty, but I think I can make it on my own, just that the pancakes I make won't be mini in size, haha.
