Chiang Mai, Thailand Trip: Part 1 - Julie Guest House

Hello everyone, I just back from a 7-days 6-nights Chiang Mai trip yesterday. The trip was really enjoying and I bought lots of nice & cheap stuffs over there, including clothes, bags, souvenirs etc. Chiang Mai is definitely a shopping paradise especially for ladies!!!

During our stay in Chiang Mai, we settled down at Julie Guest House, a well-known and popular guest house over there. Most of the tourists staying there are caucasian and not asian like us. The service provided at Julie's was good, thumbs up for all the workers there!!! You can get all the travel information required in seconds over the counter. You just have to tell them where you plan to go and what you interested to do, they will arrange local tour for you or give some professional recommendations. These bring convenience to tourists like us who like to travel free & easily.

You can play pool for free, but I dunno how to play :(
Some people just lie down relaxingly on the cushion/bed provided at the cafe and do reading or just have a drink
I shared a room with my sister, it costs us around RM18 per night(which is RM9 per person!). The room equipped with 2 single beds, a table, hooks to hang clothes, attached bathroom with cold shower. (Hot shower RM20 per night). Ceiling fan is available instead of air-con, this's not a prob. for us because I actually woke up in the middle of the night to get the blanket. I could sleep deep and sound in the comfortable room. The room price is very reasonable and helped us save a lot on accomodation.

Because of the cheap price, breakfast is not included but we can order food easily at the Julie's cafe. The food very tasty with a great variety of cuisine. You can opt for thai food or western food, both are good. I tried ham omelette, butter & jam toast, roasties for breakfast which gave me satisfied feeling throughout the days.
Some thai food which I tried at Julie's. Love the glass noodle pad thai and tom yum goong very much!!!
Julie Guest House is highly recommended if you wanna go on a budget trip to Chiang Mai. You will feel at home over there and start to miss the place way before you leave. More information can be obtained from its official site---> http://julieguesthouse.com/

If dun include $$ spent on shopping, we spent around RM600-700 per person for air ticket, accommodation, food & day trips.
